Refresh pensioen
Our current pension system arose somewhere last century. Times were different. Life was different. Pension still is a beautiful thing, but the name is out of date. Time for a word that sounds like today. That rhymes with time.
Among other tasks the Federation of Dutch Pension Funds (Pensioenfederatie) is responsible for young people's involvement regarding their pension. Current involvement is low and most youngsters roll their eyes whenever they see the word pension. Getting someone to care starts by getting them to listen.
That's why we used social media and asked them to come up with a new (better) name for pension and encouraged them to spread the word. Within weeks we got 800+ unique entries and thousands of votes. Once the jury picked the winning name from the shortlist we moved forward, trying to make it stick by launching our Chrome plugin and started preparations to make it an official synonym.
